Bespoke Repertoire & Custom Arrangements
With your Planning Suite active, you can begin shaping your custom setlist. To ensure your ceremony is entirely unique, we include up to three musical arrangements of any piece not currently in our library if the music is available. Whether you wish to walk down the aisle to a classic masterwork or a contemporary piece, we bring your exact vision to life. As specialists in high-end event scoring, we guide you through every choice, ensuring a seamless, stress-free creative process.

Flawless Execution
On the day of your event, our ensemble arrives early, immaculately tailored to mirror the visual aesthetic of your venue (our signature styling is classic, formal concert black, though we easily accommodate bespoke dress codes). For wedding ceremonies, we begin performing 30 minutes prior to your arrival, establishing a sophisticated atmosphere as your guests assemble. While we play acoustically to preserve the pure, rich resonance of our instruments, we have experience being amplified wen needed, if the venue can accommodate that.

How far in advance should we book our string quartet?
Our most sought-after dates, particularly weekends from May to September and throughout December, are often reserved twelve to eighteen months ahead. We recommend enquiring as soon as your date and venue are confirmed.
Do you perform outside London?
Yes. We are based in London and perform throughout the capital and the Home Counties, and we regularly travel across the UK and abroad for destination weddings and private events.
Can you play a song that is not in your repertoire?
Absolutely. We include up to three custom arrangements of pieces not currently in our library, provided the music is available, so your aisle walk or first dance can be entirely your own.
Can we book a solo musician, a string duo or trio instead of a quartet?
Yes. From the delicate intimacy of a solo violinist or string duet to the full sweep of our signature string quartet, we will recommend the ensemble that best suits your venue, guest numbers and atmosphere.
Do you perform outdoors?
We love outdoor ceremonies. To protect the instruments we ask for a covered, shaded position and a dry, level surface; in wet or very hot conditions we will agree an alternative location with you in advance.
What do you need from the venue?
Four armless chairs, a level performance area of roughly three by three metres. We coordinate every detail directly with your planner or venue team.
What will the musicians wear?
Our signature styling is classic, concert black, with editorial style leaning choices. We are happy to accommodate bespoke dress codes or colour palettes to complement your event.
How much does hirering Serein Strings string quartet or other ensembles for an event?
Our fees are customized to the specific scope, duration, and logistical requirements of your occasion. Rather than offering a rigid flat rate, pricing is calculated based on key parameters, including your chosen ensemble format (from a solo violinist to our flagship quartet), total performance hours and scheduling idle time, event location, equipment requirements, and any custom repertoire arrangements.
